wat suan dok

When your weekend is rushing by and Sunday evening has hastily arrived, sometimes you urgently need something to stretch those last hours of the day.
To stop it and twist it and make it wait.
You aren't ready for your Monday to show up as quickly as your Sunday has appeared.
The same things you often do Sundays aren't helping.
Only a ten minute drive around the moat, a temple stands in all it's glory, nestled below your favorite mountain, waiting for you to come acknowledge its existence.
You drive there, camera in hand, searching for that something that can help make your weekend feel a little longer and a little more meaningful.
Park the motorbike, jump off and start snapping pictures.
The sun is sinking down the partially cloudy sky, the atmosphere almost perfectly tranquil.
You peak around the tall standing white pagodas, to find a man clothed in orange, a monk, reading peacefully on the bench.
Time has slowed.
He is in the moment.
You are in the moment
This image.
Breath.
This is why you are in Thailand.
