One weekend we went to Khanom. Khanom is one of our local beaches. It is absolutely beautiful and so close to us! It’s such an empty touristless place. The only people on the beach was our group of eight plus a wedding party with a live reggae band. We spent the evening relaxing on the beach and then crashing the wedding party (the wedding had been a few days before). The party was so fun! The band was amazing and the Thais loved all the foreigners dancing at their celebration. Kirsten even caught one of the flowers from the brides bouquet. Our friend, Euan, rented a motorbike and took us to the other end of the beach to a reggae bar/restaurant where the Thai reggae band was hanging out after the wedding celebration. Stephan and I rode on the back of the back and it was SCARY. We turned into the entrance into some deep sand the and bike fell over with us on it. It was slow motion and the sand cushioned us, but still I fell over on a MOTORBIKE. Yikes! The next morning Stephan and I went on a morning run and relaxed on the beach until time to head back to Nakhon.
