happy day.

Oh man, I am so happy it is Friday. I have that feeling you get when the seasons are changing. I love that change. When the air is suddenly feeling a bit warmer (or cooler) and things just seem to be changing for the better. Everything is more fresh. I don't know why I have that feeling, because the seasons certainly do not change here. It's either hot and sunny or hot and rainy. It's been hot and sunny, but something about the days have just been beautiful. Maybe it's because there is light finally at the end of the tunnel and it is time to leave this chapter of my life and move somewhere and start fresh. Changes are happening around here, for the better. One week of teaching left, then exams, then I am moving somewhere, then I get to go home for a visit and see my sweet family. So. many. good. things.

Stephan and I are planning on staying in Thailand, but we have no idea where. Come March 1 though, we will certainly no longer be in the town we are currently living in. And that folks, is the best feeling for so many reasons. (more on that later)

Yesterday, we had to go to the airport to buy some plane tickets. The drive out to the airport is the most beautiful thing--the most rural countryside, lined with cows and the lushest green palm trees, with mountains in the distance. It's just a breath of fresh air. There is this coffee shop we had been eyeing a few times on our drive to the 'port and we decided to stop their yesterday for a quick cappuccino. It was perfect. We sat outside with the bright sun glistening off a beautiful lake. Palm trees and mountains surrounded the lake. Cappuccino in hand and boy by my side. It was so perfect.

Have a happy weekend!
