whirlwind.

{photo cred: Eric and Bria}

This weekend was a whirlwind and so is this week!! Stephan and I hopped up to Chiang Mai for some top secret mission (aka interviews--I'll get back to that later, if there is anything to get back to). Luckily, classes were cancelled on Monday, because the princess of our province decided to make an appearance at our school. As in, she flew in a helicopter and stopped over at our school and maybe walked around for a minute. Classes were cancelled because the students needed to spend the whole morning learning how to greet her, and the whole afternoon actually greeting her. We missed the whole frenzy, but apparently the native English teachers had to stay in the office anyways. Oh well. We rushed back early Tuesday morning for class and found out that our Tuesday schedule had been swapped with our Thursday schedule, which meant I had a full day of classes and everything that I had due for my students on Thursday was not going to be able to happen. So I have been rescheduling tests and final projects like a mad woman. Of course, the students don't think anything is weird about it, so that's good. Today, I had my last classes with my 5/10 students. I almost cried telling them goodbye. It's all starting to hit me that my first year of teaching is over and I will probably not see my cute students again. Whirlwind, I tell ya.
Anyways, sweet Bria put some pictures up of their trip over here in Asia, and of course I need to share them. Some were taken by her and some by Eric. And they are all so great, but I am bummed we only got a group shot on their last day.
