After we went to the temple complex, we motorbiked to Trang An. Trang An is more of a destination for the Vietnamese, so there were not many international tourists around. We were a bit of a spectacle and everyone wanted their picture with us. Trang An was so beautiful. The green rice fields and the limestone cliffs lined the river. We rode on a boat with a Vietnamese family and the rower. The rowers were so impressive and some even used their feet!
Tam Coc is very similar, but is catered more toward tourists. The scenery is still as beautiful. I enjoyed our bicycle adventure that we took to Tam Coc. No one really speaks English around Ninh Binh and we were only given directions based on landmarks from our guesthouse. So we kind of just felt our way through the muddy country side and villages and somehow found Tam Coc. Here are some pictures from both Trang An and Tam Coc.
